Special Events at Cylburn
Volunteer help is needed throughout the year at the events that take place on Cylburn's grounds. Some of this year's events, which use multiple volunteers, are:
Market Day (May 6 and 7)
SoupN'Walk (April 28, April 30, May 15)
Celebration of Art at Cylburn (June 18 - 20)
Cylburn Nature Science Camp (4 weekly sessions, July 11 through August 5)
Volunteers help with setup/cleanup, food or drink service, sales, operations, parking, or hosting different functions within the event.
All-day events use help in shifts, so you may volunteer as much time as you have available. Shorter events generally last around 4 hours total, including pre- and post-event work.
Special events are noted on the Cylburn website, in our e-newsletter, and our print newsletter
so it's easy to plan in advance to volunteer.
Volunteering for Cylburn's special events supports the Arboretum's mission by helping raise our profile in the community, by helping raise funds for operations, and by providing outreach to bring in new members, new volunteers, and new donors. It's a wonderful way to meet other people who share similar interests, and to be a part of the larger community that makes up Cylburn's programs and operations.
